nyc, i'm working on a little nycpb project and was hoping to get some help on it... i'm looking for hi-res photos of your camera lenses... on the camera, **straight-on** and close-up, so you can see any writing and form details. SLRs, point & shoot, medium or large format, polaroid, antiques, phonecam, etc... diverse lenses will make great source material. note: photos will be used as reference only, (though some of the more unusual images may be posted on this site, with your links).

The Art + Commerce agency is holding its 2005 Festival of Emerging Photographers. To particpate, you need to be an emerging photographer not represented by a gallery or agent for assignment as well as a resident of the tri-state area.

Winners will have their work represented by the Art + Commerce agency where the selected works will be be viewed at various venues. The agency also plans on publishing the selected works in a catalogue that will accompany each exhibit.

Carbon Based Forms has given 50 trees on Bedford Ave between North 4th and North 10th custom brass vanity necklaces with the common names of the tree to help celebrate Arbor Day (which was last friday).

The plates will remain in place until they're all stolen at which point you can probably find them on ebay.

NYC Photobloggers is pleased to announce the first ever NYCPB Caption Contest! The prize for the winning caption is a licensed copy of Noise Ninja: Pro Bundle, an $80 value, provided by the folks at PictureCode.

The NYC Caption Contest is open to all NYC Photobloggers. To participate, enter your best caption using the comment link found at the bottom of this entry.
