Fleet Week Activities

CV-67 USS JFK, originally uploaded by macten

You might have noticed some big ships on the Hudson River recently. This week is New York City’s 18th Annual Fleet Week celebration from May 25th to June 1st.

The visiting Fleet Week vessels are open for free public tours daily. Check out the five ships docked at Pier 86, which include the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy, the frigate USS Carr and the Marine Amphibious Assault ship, USS Shreveport.

Hours of operation are from 10am-7pm Saturday through Monday. See the complete schedule of events for more information.

Here are some Fleet Week Tags: Fleet Week, Sailor, and Marine.
