National Photo Taking Month

Some folks were feeling a bit put out by the National Novel Writing Month which challenges its participants to get through 50,000 words during the month of November and decided to create a group on flickr for NaPhoTaMo.

The idea behind the writing group is to write as much as possible to get in the habit and out of quantity will come quality. The NaPhoTaMo isn't as structured and just challenges people to do more. A photo a day, a roll a day, 100 a day, or try a new format. Buy a holga and shoot a roll a day. Just do something everyday between Nov 1 and Nov 30 (yes, its Nov 4, but I'm sure you can make up for the missing 3 days).

Maybe the participants could meet on Dec 1 and show off their contact sheets for the month or at the very least, show a strong NYC presence on the flickr group.
