"Walk-In to Polytechnic is a project about you and created to nurture mixed media collaboration. Infrastructure for video, audio and dance improvisation is provided (sound system, projection, floor space, etc.) without any definition of how to use these resources."
December 16, Fri.
8 pm - 2 am
The Wunsch Building
Polytechnic University, Building Number 10 on the map.
$5 for Observers, FREE for "Walk-In" performers
This should be an interesting collaboration between video, sound, and dance. I've seen this kind of performance before with members of PURE, a local bellydancing collective and it was stunning. Its well worth trekking out to downtown brooklyn to catch (if the trains are running).
Directions: A, C, F to Jay St. /Borough Hall. From any train, follow signs to MetroTech.
Please see the map. You will be standing between buildings number 18 and 8.
Walk across "The Commons" plaza, look for the historical building with stair.
For further assistance, ask Polytechnic Security Officer or call "Walk-In" at (917) 359-5939.
Time's Up Clown Brigade will be out in Washington Square Park this Saturday starting at 2:00 pm to ticket cars that are blocking the bike lane. Meet by the arch.
Clowns. Bikes. Community activism. You can't go wrong.

Haje Jan Kamps’ photocritic.org, "a collection of fun and exciting photography projects for people to enjoy" explains a cheap and (arguably) easy way to test the waters of Macro Photography without spending the big bucks.
In his post Extreme Macro Photography on a budget he explains, in a mildly cheeky manner, how to make a "surprisingly good macro lens" for less then £1 ($1.76713 USD) out of a Pringles can, lens & body cover, dremel, an old t-shirt, and of course tape and glue. Oh yeah, and a Canon 50mm f/1.8 MKII (or the equivelant in your land of lenses).
Another DIY project on photocritic.org is the The Mag-lite Photo Lamp.
