Slideluck Potshow (Saturday, March 18th, 7PM to midnight)
A slideshow and potluck for, and by, the NYC arts community. Couple of hours eating and mingling (bring a dish to share) and then 90 minutes of slideshow.

Will be held at Neo Studios, 628 Broadway Ste 401 (at Houston). Catherine Jones from "New Work, New York" will be in the show (hooray) but we don't know if participants are supposed to be a surprise so don't mention it. =)

Phagwah Parade in Richmond Hill Celebrating Holi (Sunday, March 19th, Noon)
This is a great event for street shooters (bring a rain coat and a rain coat for your cameras). Crazy parade through the streets throwing colored powder and generally carrying on!

The Troops Out Now! coalition is planning a rally in Times Square this saturday at 1:00 pm followed by a march to the UN.

Unfortunatly I don't have any information on the expected size of the march or if this has the full blessing of the city.

The Hey, Hot Shot Winter showcase will feature photographs from ten selected photographers in a special show at the jen bekman gallery in New York City. The show will open with a reception for the photographers on the evening of Wednesday March 15, 2006 and will remain on view through Sunday, March 19, 2006. Following the show, the photographers' work will be available in the gallery's inventory and viewable online at www.jenbekman.com.
